Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026 — this is a starting policy and will be reviewed as the community grows.

Who we are

Male Able is run by its founder as an independent men's mindset and mental health project. For any question about this policy or your data, contact [email address to be added].

What we collect

If you join the community (Discord, Facebook Group, or a mailing list), we collect what you provide directly: your name or username, email address, and anything you choose to post or share within the community.

If you support us financially (Ko-fi, Patreon), payment details are handled entirely by those platforms — we never see or store your card details ourselves.

A note on sensitive information

This community exists for people to talk openly about mental health, which means things shared may include sensitive personal information ("special category data" under UK GDPR). We don't actively collect or store this separately from the platform it's posted on — we don't export, copy, or build files on individuals based on what's shared. It stays where you posted it, under that platform's own controls, unless you ask us to remove it.

Why we hold it, and for how long

We hold your details to run the community and keep you updated, based on your consent when you join. We keep it only as long as you're an active member, or until you ask us to delete it.

How it's stored

Community and membership data is held on established third-party platforms (Discord, Patreon, Ko-fi, or a mailing list provider), not on personal devices. These platforms have their own security and privacy standards, which you can review on their own sites.

This isn't a crisis or clinical service

Male Able is peer support, not therapy, counselling, or a crisis service. If you're in immediate danger, contact 999. For support, contact Samaritans (116 123) or CALM (0800 58 58 58).
